Tool
Crypto Trading Window
See which crypto trading windows are currently open and where liquidity is highest right now.
What makes this different
The liquidity weighting is the differentiator. The tool does not just show that markets are "open" 鈥?it shows where retail and institutional flows tend to be densest, weighted by reported 2024-2025 exchange volume data. This is a planning aid, not a trading signal.
Not financial advice. Use the tool to plan around liquidity, not to time the market.
How to use it
- Pick your anchor city.
- Read the live heat strip: greener cells = historically higher liquidity hours in your timezone frame.
- Read the upcoming "peak" windows for the next 24 hours.
Unlike equities, crypto never closes 鈥?but liquidity still varies dramatically by region. Asian hours are dominated by Korean retail and Japanese OTC desks; European hours bring institutional desks; US hours (especially the NY afternoon overlap with London) historically carry the deepest order books on major pairs. This tool shows the current global liquidity profile and the upcoming peak windows.
Frequently asked questions
Is the liquidity data real-time?
No. It is a weekly weighting profile derived from aggregated public exchange volume reports. Real liquidity shifts by the second; this is a planning tool.
Why does the profile have a US afternoon peak?
Historically the NY-London overlap (12:00-16:00 UTC for many pairs) shows the deepest order books on BTC and ETH spot. Asian hours are second.
Does this work for altcoins?
Less reliably. The profile is built around BTC/ETH, where global liquidity is most predictable. Thin altcoins can show very different regional patterns.
