Next 14 days — week rollover timeline
What makes this different
The timeline strip is the unique part: a horizontal band per city showing the exact UTC instant each city crosses into the next ISO week. Useful for "do not schedule a sprint close while Singapore is mid-sprint".
How to use it
- Pick the cities you care about.
- Read the per-city ISO week, week-year, and quarter for the same instant.
- Use the timeline strip to see when each city crosses into a new week.
ISO week numbers and fiscal quarters are tied to dates, but they roll over at midnight local — which means two cities can be in different ISO weeks on the same day. For finance, supply chain and HR teams this matters: the "week 39 close" call on Monday morning in New York may be the "week 40 open" in Singapore.
Frequently asked questions
What is the ISO week rule?
ISO 8601 defines week 1 as the week containing the first Thursday of the year. Weeks run Monday-Sunday. A year has 52 or 53 ISO weeks; the rare 53-week year is when 1 January is a Thursday or when the year is a leap year that starts on a Wednesday.
Do fiscal quarters match calendar quarters?
Not always. Many companies use fiscal quarters offset by 1-3 months. The tool shows calendar quarters only.
Why is the same day different ISO weeks in different cities?
Because ISO week is a calendar-date concept. If it is Sunday in New York but Monday in Tokyo at the same instant, the cities are in different ISO weeks.
